So What Is This Blog All About?

I started this Blog back on April 6, 2011.

At that time, I decided that I would conduct a one year experiment to see how much money could be made from a blog in a year.

There are all sorts of tips, tricks, books, videos on how to increase traffic to your site and how to make money from your blog. I decided that I would try as many of them as I can and I'll write about my efforts in this blog.  I created a Scoreboard so that you can track my progress.

As I stated in my April 6th post, "I'm going to sign up for all sorts of affiliate programs, I'm going to look for advertisers, I will soon Monetize my blog with Adsense and anything else Blogger has to offer me under the Monetize tab."

It's Not Just About The Money

A good deal of the experiments will deal with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and techniques for driving traffic to this site.  Even if you are a blogger who is more interested in the fame than the fortune, this blog should still be of interest to you.

My experiment won't work if I don't have traffic, so while I have your attention let me encourage you to follow me, tell your friends about my experiment, link to me. If you're in the media, write a story about me, do a news item. Well, you get the idea...

With the millions of people who are currently blogging, I think my experiment will have a pretty wide audience. I welcome the Designer/Decorators, the Crafters, the Mommy Bloggers, the Entertainment/Gossip Bloggers, the Techies, the Photo Enthusiasts. Once I again, I guess you get the idea...

Seriously though, I'm sure that there a many of you that share this same interest.

How Will It Work?

This blog will have two types of posts:

1. Posts like this one that describe how my experiment is going.  I hope I'll have some regular readers who are interested in following this experiment, and with luck that following will grow.

2. The other posts will be written with the hopes of having them rank high on the Search Engines and thereby draw in the masses.  I don't know if anyone else has described them as "bait", but that is what I'm thinking of.  Something that can help me "catch" some hits as I'm fishing in the great Lake Google.

You probably found this page by clicking on the link I added at the bottom of the Scoreboard.  I'm hoping that this will be enough for people who stumble upon this site to learn more about the "experiment".

Once you are on an "experiment" post, you will be able to page back and forth between the different experiments by using the previous and next links...

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you will come back soon!
